Hey there! I'm Eric, a second-gen, food-obsessed Californian and founder of Sobo (aka the friendly face behind your dumplings). I'm so lucky to have grown up enjoying fresh, veggie-packed recipes straight from the kitchens & gardens of my mom and aunties. With Sobo, I'm sharing my own take on these nostalgic flavors with a new generation, one frozen aisle at a time.

The Asian-American comfort food I grew up with was packed with flavor and carefully prepared – mostly from the bounty of my mom’s tiny garden. As I grew older, I found the freezer aisle versions of these recipes devoid of veggies, full of additives, and invariably made with factory-farmed meat. While frozen burgers and pizzas were getting a healthy glow-up, Asian American food felt left behind. So, with Sobo, we set out to wrap nostalgic flavors with the respect they deserve – thoughtfully-sourced ingredients plus more vibrant veggies and clean protein than any other dumpling out there.
